Broxtowe Map

Broxtowe is a suburb on the western edge of Nottingham, separated from the city centre by the Nottinghamshire countryside. The area grew substantially during the twentieth century as residential expansion pushed outward from the urban core, transforming what had been outlying farmland into a suburban neighbourhood. Today it forms part of the wider Broxtowe Borough, an administrative district that extends well beyond the city boundary into the surrounding county.

The suburb remains primarily residential in character, with tree-lined streets and family homes typical of post-war development. Its position makes it accessible to both Nottingham’s amenities and the quieter Nottinghamshire hinterland, offering commuters an alternative to living closer to the city centre whilst maintaining connection to its facilities and transport links.
